The New York Times' The 31 Places to Go in 2010 was released today and is a shockingly mismatched list of foreign (and a few domestic) destinations. I agree, some of the places listed will be hot in 2010 (for those who are well traveled, and those just starting out) like Patagonia Wine Country, Copenhagen, Shanghai, Istanbul, South Africa, and Columbia. But having LA and Las Vegas on the list just feels out of place... I would replace with others like Iceland, Tunisia, and Peru.
